Andrea House, is a highly skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Collaborative Adult Psychiatry at the Jacksonville, FL location. With a career spanning 17 years in psychiatric nursing, Andrea has a deep understanding of mental health care across the lifespan.

Her journey began at Northern Oklahoma College, where she earned her RN degree in 2009, leading to her first role as an inpatient psychiatric nurse at a children’s behavioral health hospital. After completing her BSN at Florida State College in Jacksonville, she pursued a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership at Jacksonville University in 2021.

Despite her success in a leadership role, Andrea followed her passion for direct patient care, earning her post-master’s psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner degree in 2024.

Andrea’s care philosophy is shaped by empathy, authenticity, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes. With a personality type matching the ENFJ profile—an “idealistic organizer”—Andrea believes in seeing the potential in others and acting as a catalyst for growth. She emphasizes the importance of evidence-based treatment, using data-driven approaches to create individualized care plans that maximize treatment efficacy.

Her experience in inpatient psychiatric crisis stabilization hospitals has equipped her with the skills to manage a range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, Mood Disorders, Psychotic Disorders, and Severe Complex Mental Health Conditions.

Andrea is known for her compassionate and thorough approach, and she strives to empower her patients by offering tools and strategies for long-term mental wellness.

Outside of work, Andrea enjoys cooking, DIY home projects, jogging, and spending time with her Shiba Inu and two cats. She also loves holiday decorating and unwinding with TLC shows.
